As a Catholic School, we strive to ensure that the children receive an enriching experience, based on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ and Gospel values. Ensuring that the dignity of each person as a child of God is recognised and developed.

Our RE curriculum is central to the whole school curriculum and underpins all our teaching.  It is a core subject and we follow the Diocesan scheme ‘Learning and Growing as Children of God.’ RE teaching forms 10% of the weekly timetable with collective worship in addition to this.

The RE subject lead regularly monitors teaching and learning in RE.

This includes scrutiny of pupil work, observation of lessons, pupil voice and evaluations of planned lessons. In addition, units of work are assessed, both for knowledge and skills, with data being moderated and analysed.
